Juan Cruz Sol banner to take centre stage on main facade of Mestalla in the run-up to Real Madrid game

Juan Cruz Sol is one of several players to have featured for both Valencia CF and Real Madrid during his career, and his image will be one of the backdrops to the Matchday 9 fixture at Mestalla on Sunday night.
The picture of the current club ambassador and board member will be displayed in a central position on the main facade of the stadium on the Avenida de Suecia side, between representations of Mario Kempes and Antonio Puchades.
Sol played for both clubs over the course of his legendary career, spanning 12 seasons at Valencia CF (from 1965-1975, then 1979-1981) and 5 for Los Blancos (1975-80). For this reason, and to wish the best for a beloved figure in club history, Valencia CF have chosen a special game for him in which to make this homage. Sol is an outstanding ambassador and board member of Valencia CF. Loved by all the fans. For this reason, VCF has chosen to honor Sol with a permanent display of Sol’s image in the center of Mestalla.
